Bala Town 1 TNS 4

TNS made light work of Bala Town to return to winning ways at Maes Tegid on Friday.

The Saints hit the ground running following the previous week’s defeat against Bangor City with Ryan Brobbel drilling past Ashley Morris inside the opening 10 minutes.

TNS settled the points with two goals in as many minutes around the half hour.

Greg Draper raced onto a long ball from Connell Rawlinson and despite being denied by Morris the New Zealander pounced on the loose ball to slot home.

Moments later Dean Ebbe squared for Kevin Kauber to fire home and finish the game as a contest with the Estonian celebrating his second TNS goal.

Bala soaked up the pressure and saw out the half to re-organise.

The champions could afford to take their foot off the pedal with the points all but won but were given a reminder the match not over when the hosts hit back midway through the second-half.

Ian Sheridan scrambled home from close range to give the Lakesiders a lift.

However it was shortlived with TNS restoring their three goal cushion and maintaining their dominant record against Bala with a fourth with 10 minutes remaining.

Brobbel won possession in midfield and broke to release Ebbe who squared for Aeron Edwards to cap off a convincing performance for the champions.

Remarkably the victory also completed a clean sweep of victories over Bala for the Saints this season with each ending with the Oswestry side winning by three goals.

TNS: Harrison, Spender, Rawlinson, Brobbel (Bower), Draper, Hudson (Saunders), Ebbe, Holland (Pryce), Edwards, Kauber, Craven. Subs: Jones, Parry, Ihekwoaba.
