TNS 3 Bala Town 0

DEAN Ebbe came off the bench to score twice and leave TNS on the verge of sealing the title.

The Saints went into the game with confidence and boasting an impressive record against the Lakesiders.

Greg Draper was denied by Bala goalkeeper Ashley Morris inside the opening 10 minutes before Jamie Mullan lashed wide.

Bala had their moments with Mike Hayes warming the palms of Saints goalkeeper Paul Harrison who was also made to work by a Chris Venables free-kick.

TNS edged ahead on the stroke of the interval with Ryan Brobbel curling an unstoppable shot beyond Morris following a swift home break.

Bala started the second-half brightly with Kieran Smith twice firing wide while Stuart Jones also failed to control his headed effort.

However TNS doubled their lead on the hour with Ebbe marking his arrival from the bench by steering home a low cross from Ryan Pryce.

TNS were now totally dominant with Bala reverting to damage limitation after Ebbe came close to doubling his tally only to fire over the bar.

The Saints toiled to erode the Bala resistance with their patient approach almost yielding reward when Mullan set up Aeron Edwards who forced Morris into action.

Jordan Evans curled a free-kick over the bar while Venables also failed to find the target as Bala pressed late on.

However TNS had the final say with Ebbe completing his brace two minutes from time after rounding Morris and slotting into an empty net.
