Builth Wells 45 Nantyfyllon 5

BUILTH Wells ended the season on a high with a resounding home victory over Nantyfyllon cementing a third place finish on division two west central.

The Bulls were buoyed by a large home crowd and never looked back after centre Tom Samuel skipped around the visiting defence before releasing Kyle Baggett to cross for the opening try.

Nantyfyllon replied with an unconverted try to remain in contention at half-time.

However it was all one way traffic after the break with the Bulls pulling away with tries from Gethin Lewis and Baggett to underline their dominance.

Builth continued to grow in confidence with their open rugby culminating in tries from Rhodri Jones, Rhys Davies and Alex Brown before Baggett completed his hat-trick.

Harry Jenkinson added 10 points with the boot to complete the scoring and a successful campaign for Powys’ top club.

Delighted coach Ben Duggan said: “We hope to retain the majority of the squad into next season and strengthen over the summer months.

“With several exciting youth team players ready to step up we will be looking to challenge for promotion back to division one.”
