LLANDRINDOD Wells celebrated only their second win of the Swalec Division Three East Central C season with a 32-12 win over Cardiff Saracens.
Danny Davies marked his return following a two years absence by crossing for the opening try only for the Cardiff visitors to reply with two tries of their own.
A second try from Davies followed good work by Joe Bradley and Gareth Oakley before Davies converted a third try from Ashley Hammond.
Davies continued his superb display with a penalty as Llandrindod opened the second-half on top before leading a breakaway and releasing Oakley to cross for a try.
Davies added the conversion to complete his 17 point haul and an impressive return to action.
Llandrindod continued to dominate and completed their scoring with a late try from Hammond.
Meanwhile Trefyclawdd completed a frustrating week with a 24-5 defeat at home to Pontllanffraith in division three east D.
A solitary try from Henry Leech proved consolation for the Knighton hosts.
Earlier in the week the border club slipped to an 8-0 defeat to Welshpool in the semi-finals of the Cambrian Training Mid Wales Cup.
Welshpool will now face either Llanidloes or Aberystwyth Athletic in the final to be played next month.
