Ffion Price won the women's race in the opening round of the Elan Valley series.
More than 140 athletes competed in the first race of the Rhayader Running Club 5K series held in Elan Valley last week.
Tim Iveson won the senior men’s race in 16:42 ahead of Jamie Crawford in 17:09 and Rob Johnson in 17:32.
Meanwhile Ffion Price won the women’s race ion 17:12 with Heidi Davies second in 18:10 and Rhiannon Kamink third in 19:40.
Iwan Coyle was the top high school runner with a time of 5:36 in the one mile children’s race while Dewi Bradley and Chloe-Jane Lees won the primary school events in 6:37 and 7:07 respectively.
The next two races will be held on Wednesday, May 23 and Wednesday, June 6.
