TWO members of Llanfyllin Squash Club helped Wales clinch a bronze medal at the Five Nations Mixed Championships in France.

Georgina Lincoln and Dan Lewis travelled to Nantes and represented Wales in the under 15s age group.

Lewis won all of his matches, including a 3-2 win over his French counterpart.

Meanwhile Lincoln was involved in several close matches, including a 3-2 defeat against the Irish.

After a tough weekend of matches against Ireland, Scotland, England and France the Welsh squad celebrated a bronze medal with wins over Scotland and Ireland.

The club continues to go from strength to strength with strong senior and junior membership.

Under 11, 13, 15 and 17 sections ensure a conveyor belt of talent from club to country.

The club competes in the Shropshire League and a number of other competitions across North and Mid Wales.

In recent years the club’s remarkable record of developing young players has also been recognised with a host of county sports awards.
