ELAIN Owen returned from the annual Tiger Bay Open in Cardiff with two gold medals.
The 12 year old represented Welshpool Sharks Swimming Club in the Cardiff International Pool
Owen recorded a new personal best to win the 200m breaststroke before shaving five seconds from her previous PB in the 200m individual medley.
Owen completed a remarkable weekend with another PB recorded to win the 100m breaststroke.
Sharks head coach Alan Webster said: “It’s really tough competing at this level and Elain coped brilliantly with the added pressure that comes with swimming in the international sized 50m pool in Cardiff.
“She certainly swam to her full potential and achieving personal best times in all three events is all you can ask.
“She can be very proud indeed of her performance and winning two gold medals is a really impressive achievement.”
