HUNDREDS of up and coming hockey players from across Montgomeryshire took part in the annual under 14s tournament in Welshpool.
Five teams entered the competition with hosts Welshpool joined by Llanfair Caereinion, Newtown, Llanfyllin and Llanidloes.
Llanfair Caereinion took eventual glory to be crowned Montgomeryshire champions and set-up a final date with the South Powys champions.
Meanwhile a fun B tournament was also contested alongside the main event with more than 100 players involved.
Organiser Wendy Langford was delighted with the standard of hockey on show as the sport continued to go from strength strength.
"Thanks to all schools for their ongoing commitment to developing hockey and raising standards at school level." said Langford.
"It was very pleasing to see so many young players enjoying a very competitive tournament and congratulations to Llanfair Caereinion in the county final."
