THE Evabuild We Wear the Same Shirt football festival takes place at Newtown’s Latham Park on Sunday.
The inclusivity football tournament has been organised by Newtown Football Club community coach Sam Morris and backed by the Mental Heath FA in its battle to combat stigma.
The event was originally set to be held in January but cancelled due to the weather.
The five a side event has seen sides from across North Wales and the borders enter with the action kicking off at 11am and concluding at 5pm.
Wales and Everton legend Neville Southall will be guest of honour throughout the day.
Organiser Sam Morris said: “The club and myself are really excited for the tournament coming this Sunday.
“It’s been a long wait from the postponed date so hopefully my hard works pays off.
“It should be a great day of football and a great day to raise awareness about mental health and hope the community come down and show support.”
