Trefonen finished their season on a high with victory in the consolation cup final, following a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Newtown Wanderers in Llangedwyn last night.
Andy Garmston had given the Pitmen the lead but a close range finish from Wanderers captain Neil Lloyd-Jones saw the sides go in level at the break, before second half strikes from Ben Pullen and Graham Dyke wrapped up the victory as the storm clouds gathered over Llangedwyn.
Full report and pictures will appear in next week's County Times Sport.
