NATHAN Prodger struck twice as Llansantffraid Village overcame a battling Montgomery Town to lift the ER Jenkins Cup.
Monty arrived at Carno’s Ty Brith ground as firm underdogs against a Saints side which has enjoyed a promotion winning campaign from Spar Mid Wales League Two and in the final of the MP Foulkes Montgomeryshire Cup.
Prodger led the Saints to glory with a brace with Bailey Austin also on target while the completing their scoring with the goal of the game with Wayne Austin volleying beyond goalkeeper Piers Thomas.
Monty continued to battle throughout the final and were rewarded with a goal from Stuart Buckley-Robins.
However Llansantffraid were not to be denied as captain Bryn Jones raised aloft the league cup to spark a night of celebration while ensuring his side went into the county cup final against Four Crosses on Wednesday with confidence.
