SCOTT Williams scored the only goal of the game as Carno celebrated a 1-0 derby victory at Llanidoes Town.

The derby remained deadlocked until 20 minutes from time when Williams struck to give Chris Davies’ men the spoils while ending the Daffodils hopes of a top two finish.

Elsewhere champions Llanrhaeadr prevailed comfortable 3-0 winners at home to Llandrindod Wells.

Tom Evans gave the villagers an early lead before Khyam Wytton doubled their advantage before the interval.

Evans completed his brace to complete the scoring with quarter of an hour remaining before the Tanat Valley village came together to toast their title winning heroes.

Berriew stormed to an emphatic 6-0 win at Tywyn Bryncrug to mark manager Dave Jones’ 150th match at the helm.

Steff Rogers led the way with a brace while Luke Vickers, Jake Mann, George Davies and Josh Morgan completed the scoring.

Elsewhere Callum Matthews and Joey Price goals earned Radnor Valley a 2-1 win at home to Bow Street who replied through Tom Williams.

Meanwhile Bank Holiday Monday saw four first division fixtures contested in glorious sunshine.

Llanrhaeadr enjoyed their trip to the coast with goals from Adam Burgess, Tom Evans, Iain Edmunds and Dan Graham completing a 4-0 win at Tywyn Bryncrug.

Llanfair United also savoured the spoils at the seaside with Dan Kenyon and Matt Bumford both completing doubles and Andrew Hughes also on target in a 5-0 win at Borth United.

Bow Street returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win at Kerry.

Rhun Garner struck twice with Andrew Gittins and an own goal completing the tally.

Radnor Valley ended the Bank Holiday weekend with maximum points with a 2-0 win over Berriew with Joey Price the two goal hero at School Lane.
