Knighton Town's Adam Farmer broke his tibia at Llanfair on Saturday.
LLANFAIR United overcame Knighton Town with a 5-3 win at Mount Field booking their place in the semi-finals of the Spar Mid Wales League Cup.
Goals from Josh Astley, Matt Spencer, Alun Hughes, Paul Griffiths and an own goal won the day for Llanfair.
The Robins remained in contention throughout with Connor Bird netting a brace while Jack Brindley also struck.
However the day was marred with Knighton’s Adam Farmer sustaining a broken tibia.
Llanfair’s reward is a semi-final with Bow Street in Llanidloes on Tuesday, May 15.
