IWAN Matthews led Llanrhaeadr to a 5-1 win over Kerry to remain in pole position for the Spar Mid Wales League One title.

Matthews led the hosts to glory with a four goal haul with Chris Aitken completing the tally while the Lambs hit back through Matt Mumford.

Welshpool Town end their campaign at Llanrhaeadr this weekend having marked the completion of their home programme with a 1-1 draw with Bow Street last week.

Ricky Litchfield netted for the Lilywhites but Tom Williams ensured a point for the Magpies.

Josh Hartrick netted twice as Llanidloes Town maintained their faint title hopes with a 4-1 win at bottom of the table Borth United with Drew Reynolds and Ashley Owen strikes cancelling an early opener from Ryan Davies.

Karl Seliaerts was also a two goal hero as Llanfair United made light work of Machynlleth with a 6-1 victory at Cae Glas completed by goals from Josh Astley, Alun Hughes, Dan Kenyon and Phil Hughes with Paul Jones netting a consolation.

Meanwhile Connor Bird starred with a hat-trick as Knighton Town strolled to a 6-0 win at Churchstoke while an Adam Farmer double and Sam Williams strike completed the rout.

Tywyn Bryncrug maintained their end of season revival with Aled Jones, Nick Williams and an own goal completing a 3-0 win over Radnor Valley.

Berriew also celebrated a 3-2 win over Aberaeron with goals from Jake Mann, Jack Weaver and Harry Watkins cancelling replies from Dan Bourne and Mike Gornall.

Elsewhere Llandrindod Wells completed a league double over Carno with goals from Ashley Jones and Shaun Nicholls earning a 2-1 win at Carno who replied through Andy Evans.
