MACHYNLLETH moved off the foot of the table with a 3-2 win at Bow Street in Spar Mid Wales League One on Wednesday.

Goals from Mark Gornall and Neil Evans were not enough for the Magpies and a Sion Jones double and Drew Page strike won the day for the Maglonians.

Meanwhile Welshpool Town staged a second-half fightback to salvage a point in a 4-4 draw at home to Knighton Town.

A Connor Bird double and goals from Sam Williams and Gareth Mansell gave Knighton a four goal interval lead only for Pool to hit back through a Will Thomas brace and goals from Ian Probert and Ian McLeod.

Elsewhere a Mike Humphreys injury time strike earned Abermule a point in a 1-1 draw at Presteigne in Spar Mid Wales League Two.
