TYWYN Bryncrug produced one of the shocks of the season with a 5-4 win at home to leaders Welshpool Town leaving a potentially damaging dent in their title bid.
Goals from Tim Holt, Aled Jones, Mark Edmonson, Nick Williams and Tom Allen-Davies clinched the spoils in a nine goal thriller while the Lilywhites hit back through strikes from Will Thomas, Rob Pritchard, Ricky Litchfield and Adam Davies.
Llanrhaeadr capitalised by closing the gap with a Dan Graham double and Gus Harris strike earning a 3-1 win at bottom of the table Machynlleth who replied through Andy Page.
Elsewhere Llanidloes Town also closed the gap with a solitary strike from Ashley Owen just enough to seal the points in a battling 1-0 win at home to Kerry.
Bow Street maintained their own push for a top four finish with goals from Tom Evans, Andy Gittins and Ifan Burrell cancelling a Scott Williams reply in a 3-1 win at Carno.
Elsewhere Churchstoke completed a comfortable 5-0 win at home to Borth United with doubles from Joe Haycock and Tony Meredith paving the way while Omer Bozdag completed the scoring for the Marketmen.
