RHAYADER Town and Brecon Northcote will go head to head in the the final of the Welsh Beef and Lamb Mid Wales Under 19s League title play-off in Builth Wells on Thursday.

The eagerly anticipated clash pits the South Powys rivals in a battle for the coveted silverware.

Rhayader go into the game as favourites having won the southern conference of the Welsh Beef and Lamb Under 19s League while also winning the Llanidloes Town Under 19s League Cup.

Just last week the Red Kites lost in the final of the Central Wales Under 19s Cup to Welsh Premier academy champions Aberystwyth Town in Llanidloes.

Northcote go into the game with confidence following their own stellar debut campaign which saw the Stags end second to Rhayader in the southern conference before prevailing 7-4 over Welshpool Town in the semi-final.

The match represents the last action of the Welsh football season with organisers hoping the contest will attract a bumper gate to the Lant with the trophy to be presented by Central Wales FA chairman Will Lloyd-Williams.
