Ziemann rules for Castle
MARTYN Ziemann struck twice as Bishops Castle eased to a 5-0 win at Llanymynech in Honda Division One of the J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League on Tuesday.
Gaz Bromley, Sam Naden and Sam Jones settled the outcome for the Shropshire side.
Four Crosses kept pace in the title race with goals from Paul Bache, Jamie Evans and Ollie Jackson cancelling Hywel Bennett’s reply in a 3-1 win over Meifod.
Meanwhile Josh Gethin and Brad Carr doubles inspired Forden United to a 6-0 win at Llanfechain in Mitsubishi Division Two with James Henderson-Smith and Jamie Loxam also netting.
Francis Barr struck twice as Kerry Reserves prevailed 6-2 winners over Newtown Wanderers with Tom Roberts, Chris Jones, Kevin Wheeldon and an own goal completing the tally while a Dave Ash double kept Wanderers in contention.
A James Clewlow double guided Welshpool Reserves to a 4-2 win at Llanfyllin Town Reserves with Matt Owen and Jake Evans also on target while the Magpies replied through Sam Colledge and Rhys Spears.
Two goals from Graham Dyke and an Owen Davies strike earned Trefonen a 3-2 win at Llanrhaeadr Reserves who replied through James Watkin and Huw France.
Elsewhere goals from Tom Evans and Geraint Jones helped Carno Reserves to a 2-0 victory over Abermule Reserves.
