GEMMA Jones led the way as Llanfair United ran riot in an 8-0 thrashing of Bala Town in the North Wales Women’s League.
Jones completed a four goal haul in a player of the match display while further strikes from Ffion Lewis, Catrin Roberts and Sarah Ellis ensured United the spoils.
An own goal completed the United haul and maintained the Mid Wales side’s title ambitions.
United welcome the Lakesiders to Mount Field in the reverse fixture on Sunday before turning their attention to the Central Wales Women’s Cup Final against Aberystwyth Town.
