OWEN Aspinall’s late strike won the day for Llangedwyn in a 1-0 victory at Newtown Wanderers.
The victory ensured Llangedwyn extended their lead at the top of Mitsubishi Division Two of the J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League.
The match represented the only fixture to survive the weekend weather with the remainder of the Montgomeryshire League programme falling foul to the weekend weather.
