CARRIE Jones was honoured for her international success by Berriew Football Club on Saturday.
Jones emerged through the girls section at the Talbot Field club to be capped at junior level for Wales.
Jones is now Wales under 16s captain and among the trailblazers of girls football in Mid Wales having already been called up to higher age grade training camps.
Coach Paul Inns said: “Everyone at Berriew Football Club is extremely proud of Carrie’s achievements and hope she continues her rise through the Welsh set-up.
“She is an extremely talented player and a great role model.”
