Caersws 0
Holywell Town 2
CAERSWS battled bravely before succumbing at home to Holywell Town.
Despite threatening through Craig Harris the Blues were caught out by a Holywell break with Steve Thomas firing an eighth minute opener.
Rhydian Davies headed over the bar as Caersws took the game to the visitors while the Wellmen remained a threat on the break with Sam Jones twice firing wide before Thomas rounded goalkeeper Luke Evans only for Ryan Davies to clear.
Caersws started the second-half brightly with Elliot Jones’ header blocked on the line while Aron Hughes-Jones volleyed wide before being caught with a sucker punch with 20 minutes remaining with Mark Winslade firing home.
Caersws almost reduced the arrears late on only for Mike Collister to be denied by goalkeeper Shaun Pearson.
