Gresford Athletic 2 Guilsfield 3
GUILSFIELD twice hit back to snatch victory over Gresford Athletic at Cefn Mawr on Friday night.
The Wrexham side broke the deadlock on 32 minutes with Tom Freeman curling a shot beyond the reach of Guils goalkeeper Lee Andrew.
Guilsfield came to dominate the second-half but had to wait until the 73rd minute to restore parity with Robbie James lashing home in his last act before being substituted with a head injury.
Gresford restored their lead directly from kick-off with Jake Eyre afforded the freedom of the Rock Stadium to slot beyond Andrew.
The frantic pace of the game continued with Guilsfield levelling two minutes later with Asa Hamilton heading home a cross from Jake Cook.
Guilsfield led for the first time when Hamilton repaid the favour by setting up Cook to fire home with seven minutes remaining and held firm for victory.
GUILSFIELD: Andrew, Weetman, Richards, Rogers, Ford, James (Bromley), Cook, Cathrall, Hamilton, Harris (Jones), Jenkins. Sub: Leonard.
