Penrhyncoch 4 Llandudno Junction 1

Penrhyncoch swept aside league relegated Llandudno Junction to all but secure their own survival.

The inform Roosters led on 14 minutes when Steff Davies turned home Cledan Davies’ corner and never looked back.

Nashawn Blake forced goalkeeper Ryan Woods into action before another Davies corner was converted by Sion James after half an hour.

Penrhyn increased their lead on the hour with Elian Evans’ cross steered into his own net by a Junction defender.

However Junction hit back seconds later with Nick Clarke seizing on a loose pass to break and slot past goalkeeper Lee Jenkins.

Jenkins denied Clark with a fine save as Junction rallied before the hosts settled the game with 20 minutes remaining with Jonny Evans latching onto Owain James’ throughball to net.

Penrhyn almost added a fifth at the death with Evans steering Rob Murfet’s free-kick toward goal only to be denied by Woods.
