GUILSFIELD return to Holyhead Hotspur in the first round of the Huws Gray Cup on Saturday.

The Guils return to the scenes of their memorable fightback against the islanders last week which helped them climb to second in the table.

Manager Nathan Leonard praised his side for their performance over 70 minutes.

"It was a very pleasing victory after being 2-0 down," said Leonard. "You never go to Holyhead and have an easy game and the first 20 minutes we were miles off and got punished.

"But credit to the lads to comeback from that, they showed great character and togetherness which is very pleasing for me. We had a few missing Saturday but the strength of the squad really showed and to win 4-2 at Holyhead is fantastic."

The Guils now make the second long haul trip in as many weeks with Leonard confident last weekend's performance will stand his side in good stead.

"We make the short journey to Holyhead again this weekend but the lads are in high spirits so that won’t bother them," said Leonard.

"I expect another tough encounter and they will want revenge for last week. If we play like we did for the last 70 minutes and cut out the silly mistakes we will have a great chance of reaching the quarter finals and that’s all we want."
