Welshpool 139 all out beat Forton 100 all out by 39 runs
WELSHPOOL celebrated a 39 run victory at fellow early season strugglers Forton to maintain their revival.
Despite a top scoring opening knock from Nick Davies (38) the Pool order struggled to post 139 to defend with Tom Bowen (20), Greg Jones (10) and Rob Anderson (13) leading tail end resistance.
Chris Sayers (3-29) and Ashley Gillum (3-20) led the home side’s wicket haul.
Anderson included Antony Barrett, caught by Matt McWhinnie for a top scoring 26 in his 4-34 with Jones (3-24) and Joe Monk (2-15) also claiming wickets to leave Sayers (21no) and Forton all out for 100.
