Alberbury 142-3 beat Beacon 139 all out by seven wickets
LAWRENCE Fletcher played a pivotal role as Alberbury strolled to a seven wicket win over Beacon.
Alberbury struck early with opener Jamie Cornell caught by Mike Crawshaw off Ben Davies (1-34) for 10.
The inform Sam Morris (4-23) was joined by Fletcher (4-23) in dominating for Alberbury with the latter also celebrating the run out of Mike Turner for a top scoring 35 as Beacon’s flame went out for a meagre 139 in the 41st over.
Carl Williams led Beacon’s reply with openers Charles Bourne (18) and Crawshaw (14) sent back to the pavilion.
Dan Leach was joined by Lawrence in a pivotal 77 run third wicket stand before the latter fell to Guy Leslie (1-37) for a top scoring 58, including 10 boundaries.
Alberbury were not to be denied with Leach (35no) joined by Mark Jones (7no) in an unbroken fourth wicket stand to guide the hosts to 142-3 in the 28th over.
