Bishops Castle 47 all out lost to Ellesmere 51-2 by eight wickets
BISHOPS Castle endured a day to forget in an eight wicket defeat at Ellesmere.
Castle were skittled for just 47 inside 11 overs with only Jack Perry (10) reaching double figures before Simon Palmer (10no) guided Castle to 47 to defend.
Bradley Chapman (3-10) and Ashley Thomas (3-17) shared the wickets with support from Fraser Duncan (2-4).
Perry (1-16) and Satch Norton (1-7) delayed the inevitable with Laurence Ashley caught by Dan Haubenshmid for 16 before Jack Cockayne (17no) led Mere to victory in the 11th over.
