Llanidloes 134-7
lost to Column 137-6 by four wickets
LLANIDLOES slipped to a four wicket defeat at Column in division four of the Henshalls Shropshire League.
Dave Moody (39) led the Llanidloes middle order with supporting knocks from Andrew Jones (23) and Geraint Evans (20) to help the visitors to 134-7 to defend.
Edwin Martlew (2-23) starred with the ball for Column.
Sam Sneyd carried his bat in reply with an unbeaten knock of 47 helping Column to 137-6 and glory.
Callum Jones (3-26), Ioan Swallow (1-12) and James Denham (1-34) led the Llanidloes attack with the key wickets of Dan Taylor (12) and Tom Houlgate (15) claimed while Dave Shaw retired hurt for 22.
However Sneyd was joined by Will Marner (4no) in seeing Column over the line in the 40th over.
