MONTGOMERY have targeted promotion back to the first division in 2018.

The Lymore club will once again be led by captain Sam Williams as Montgomery look to the future and an immediate return following last season’s relegation.

Vice captain Aaron Ruff-Cock will look to carry his outstanding form of 2017 to the promotion bid.

The allrounder ended 11th in the first division batting statistics with 494 runs and seventh in the bowling figures with 30 wickets.

Andrew Barker and Charlie Clinton will once again open the batting with the experienced Tim Davies also in the ranks.

Meanwhile Tom Corfield will also make the step up to the first team on the back of more than 500 runs collated as part of the promotion winning second 11.

Montgomery will also boast a formidable bowling attack led by Ruff-Cock and with the support of Ed Bennett, Alex Bromley and Harry Wilkinson.

Meanwhile Patrick Wilding also returns to the squad after missing much of the 2017 campaign.

As ever the county town club will also be spending the summer nurturing the next generation of Lymore stars with the second string now in the reserve first division.

Captain George Corfield and vice captain David Jones will once again look to build on the success of last season’s reserve second division title.

Youngsters Lennon Bryan, Alex Haycock and Ross Wilkinson will look to push on this season and will be supported by the experienced Rob Yewdall, Keith Griffiths, Jonathan Williams and Richard Jones.

Dave Jones and Charlie Kinsey will also look to test their bowling in the higher division.
