ROVERS young guns caused an early season shock at Llanandras Park to the delight of manager Dave Proctor.
The Welshpool side were ahead at the break with Chris Proctor slotting home the opener.

A 25 yard thunderbolt from teenager Lewis Price tightened Rovers grip on the game.

Presteigne also had chances with summer signing Kenny Stiles rifling against the woodwork while Sam Pearson and Adie Bennett also went close for the hosts.

Presteigne spurned a golden chance to reduce the arrears midway through the second-half only for Rovers goalkeeper Gareth Ashley to turn away a penalty from Stiles.

Substitute Andy Downes marked his arrival by increasing the lead for Rovers before Presteigne netted a late consolation through Stiles.

PRESTEIGNE: Brimfield, Watkins, Stokes, Wilding, Bennett, Symonds, Peatson, Walmsley, Stokes, Price. Subs: White, Layton, Hill

WATERLOO: Ashley, Roberts, C Proctor, M Proctor, Foster, Brookes, Bebb, Heighway, Frost, Price, Holly. Subs: Davies, Downes
