WELSHPOOL skipper Dale Evans praised his side's efforts despite crashing to an 88 run league defeat at Reman Services.
“There are teams in this league we can aim to take points off but Reman have quality down the order and it was always going to be difficult,” said Evans.
“Rob Birch bowled his best spell of the season and we can take positives from the game.”

pener John Wigley proved instrumental in helping build an innings with his unbeaten century forming the crux of a final total of 216-4.
However Wigley survived a let-off when he was dropped behind on three.
Welshpool soon celebrated their first wicket with Matthew Knight catching opener Mal Serplet for four off Rob Birch.
However Wigley formed a 76 run, second wicket partnership with Mark Davies to push Reman Services’ total on.
Davies was caught behind by Evans for 30 off Rupert Shingler (1-59) but Wigley was still opening his bat, while displaying a full array of superb shots.
Wigley took on the Welshpool attack with 14 fours and one six in his century while forming a 63 run partnership with Phil Caudle for the third wicket.
Caudle was bowled by Sam Birch (1-83) for 19, with Australian Wendell Wagner unable to cope with Rob Birch (2-33), who dismissed the professional for just seven.
However Wigley was still accumulating the runs and a 51 run stand with Dom Bradburn (25no) for the fifth wicket helped Reman to close on a massive 216-4.
A patient reply from openers Joe Birch and Rupert Shingler ended with the latter being caught for 11 by Darren Bullock off Wagner (1-28).
Joe Birch had struggled with the early deliveries and when he was caught for just five by Wagner of Chris Speake (1-28) Welshpool feared the worst.
Chris Owen helped Welshpool to 86-5 after Rob Birch (26) and Paul Chapman were trapped LBW by Garry Williams.
However when Owen was caught by Caudle off Serplet for 27 it signalled the end of hopes of a challenge.
Phil Lewis (22) and John Gough (16) bravely pushed Welshpool onto 126-7 when they were dismissed by Bradburn (2-11), with Williams (4-14) polishing off the tail for 128.
