WELSHPOOL IIIs took just 17 overs to cement a nine wicket win over Quatt IIIs and remain in pole position.
Once again the bowlers deserved credit after limiting the visitors to just 96 with Peter Davies (3-18) and Ben Aldiss (3-26) in fine form.

Alastair Walker (27) and Garry Knowles (29) top scored for Quatt.

Despite the early departure of Martin Evans for 19 Welshpool were soon celebrating a comfortable nine wicket success. Dave Whitehouse (28no) took on the anchor role as Chris Proctor opened up with an unbeaten 40 to seal it.

Elsewhere Bishops Castle IIs paid the price for a dismal batting display in a seven wicket defeat at Calverhall.

Matt Field (5-26) and Craig Hope (3-11) decimated the batting order with only Phil Moulder (25) offering resistance as Castle closed on 85.

Calverhall IIs cruised to a comfortable victory inside 16 overs with Craig Hope (55no) inspiring his side to a seven wicket win.
