GRAHAM Breeze has been unveiled as the new general manger of Welshpool Town Football Club.
The experienced former Newtown and Llansantffrraid manager links up with former Saint assistant manager Tommi Morgan who is now at the helm at Maesydre.

Breeze expressed his delight at taking on the part-time role with his hometown club at a “cro
ssroads” in its proud 130 year history.

Breeze said: “My role will mainly be in the administration of the club and ensuring that it runs in a successful and efficient manner,” said Breeze.

“Ensuring Welsh Premier status will be firmly at the top of my agenda.

“Welshpool is an ambitious club and its plans for a new ground are well known. We have to plan for the future of football in Welshpool.

“The club runs a successful academy and schools programme and we will be working to capitalise on the work that has already been done to offer every child the opportunity to feel a part of their locals football club.”

The club plans a public meeting in the near future when ground development progress will be discussed and supporters will be invited to present their views for discussion.

Chairman Steve Hughes said: “I am very pleased that Graham has joined Welshpool Town Football Club.

“The appointment was the next step in Welshpool Town’s plan to have a team representing the town of Welshpool playing at the highest standard of Welsh Football.

“The season of 2010 will be an important time for the club with changes to rules over European qualification criteria and a new ground.

“I urge all local people and business’s to give Graham the backing and support to maintain Welshpool Town Football Club’s Welsh Premier club status.”
