Llani IIs battered by Bomere Heath

A DEPLETED Llanidloes IIs suffered an emphatic 117 run hammering at home to Bomere Heath IIs.
Llanidloes skipper Ryan Jones (3-35) sealed early success, but could not prevent the visitors racking up 165-7. Chris Davenport (55) provided resistance, while Joe Pritchard (2-44) and Anthony Goodman (2-18) chipped in with Llanidloes’ wickets.
Llanidloes’ challenge was over within 26 overs though as they collapsed for 48.
Paul Byrne (6-18) was the chief tormentor.
Meanwhile Guilsfield suffered a four wicket defeat at Trysull IIs.
Sam Griffiths opened with authority and smashed a mighty 114 as the Guils closed on 199. However he had little support as Paul Holding (2-38) and Adam Williams (2-30) capitalised.
Trysull lost early wickets in reply but Stuart Munger (57) revived the innings. Despite wickets for Daniel Brown (2-23) an expensive bowling display which included 46 extras allowed Trysull to seal victory with two overs remaining.
