Llandrindod Wells make history with win

CAPTAIN Rob Hopkins made history by leading Llandrindod Wells to their first ever win in the Triple Club Match against Mile End Golf Club and Arscott Golf Club last weekend.
A tense afternoon watching scores coming in culminated in a 14 point team win for Llandrindod.

Sunday’s Russell Davies Salver Stableford saw a maiden win for Tim Richardson with an excellent score of 41 points.

Gareth Jones and Ken Harley were edged out with 40 points apiece, while Marion Phillips was the best lady on the day with 39 points.

Maesmawr

THE inaugural members day competition was played as an 18 hole strokeplay event in glorious conditions.

Mitchell Dewinton-Davies (16) returned a stunning nett five under par 49 for glory with Leslie Woodward (20) producing a two under par 52 to secure second.

The best gross scores of the day were won by Gary McKay (8), Elaine Willetts (36) and Mitchell Dewinton-Davies (16).
