The 28-year-old was released in March following an injury plagued season, which saw him start just two games after his high-profile arrival.

Morgan, nicknamed the Rocket, played in a pre-season friendly and scored his only Saints goal in the 2-1 League Cup defeat at NEWI Cefn Druids in October but his career at TNS soon turned sour.

The ex-Cammell Laird striker blasted the Oswestry and Llansanffraid club after the decision to tear up his contract with over 16 months remaining and the two parties are now set for a tribunal.

Morgan said: "TNS had a duty of care to look after me when I got injured but instead they pull me into a room and release me from my contract.

"I was as frustrated as everyone else at my injury problems last season but I was getting fitter and was on the way back when I was released. The club had no medical proof to support the decision to end my contract and I feel so let down by TNS."

Morgan has since begun pre-season training with the Saints but admits he is unlikely to remain at Park Hall.

"I enjoyed my time at the club last season, but when I needed the club the most they release me with 16 months left and offer me a token financial settlement."

TNS general manager Ian Williams confirmed Morgan had returned for pre-season training, but said: "I thought this matter had been mutually resolved and it's news to me that the player has requested an FAW tribunal."

Welsh Premier League secretary John Deakin however confirmed the complaint had been received and will be discussed by a selected panel "within a fortnight."

He added: "It is not unusual for clubs and players to have such contractual disputes and it is now a matter for the Welsh Premier to discuss and resolve."
