CAERSWS were undone by a 67th minute strike from unlikely match winner Andy Alston at the Recreation Ground.
Alston drilled home to finally break the Bluebirds’ stubborn resolve and end their unbeaten home league record.
The Bluebirds struggled to create in the first-half and were dealt a blow when the influential Graham Jones hobbled off inside the open
ing 30 minutes.
The half-time talking point was the dismissal of Nomads midfielder Danny Forde after being brandished a second caution on the stroke of the interval.
Despite the one man advantage the hosts continued to struggle to create openings with the Deesiders staunch in defence.
The breakthrough arrived on 67 minutes with Alston the unlikely hero by lashing home past goalkeeper Andy Hughes.
Hughes performed heroics to keep his former team-mates at bay and pulled off a fine save to deny substitute Tommy Mutton, while Craig Davies was also frustrated by the goalkeeper.
The best chance for the hosts fell for Ross Jefferies who broke clear only to be denied by goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.
Mark Davies also failed to control his header from a Jamie Haynes right wing cross as Caersws stuttered to a first defeat on home territory this season.
