KARL Seliaerts returned to haunt his hometown club as Newtown were edged out by their old rivals at Latham Park.


The Seasiders dominated the first-half and went ahead whenStuart Fraser nipped in to score after Dave Jones collided with Sam Naden.


Not long after the break Seliaerts rifled home from the edge of the area to double the Seasiders’ advantage.


However Newtown rallied with visiting goalkeeper Jonathan Hartnell denying livewire Callum Wright


The influential Wright created space to cross for Matt Mumford to fire in a reply on the hour and set-up a thrilling finale. Newtown laid siege to Aber’s goal but were denied by the outstanding Hartnell.
