Llandrindod Wells 3
Builth Wells 28

BUILTH Wells coach Jeremy Pugh was full of praise for local rivals Llandrindod after a competitive friendly.

Despite their only score being a penalty from the boot of Jac Holden, the home side can be proud of their never-say-die display.

Builth ran out convincing victors with tries from youth team players Jake Duffy and Aled Davies, with Mike Powell and Jonathan Taylor also crossing for tries.

Luke Davies completed the Bulls’ scoring with four conversions.

Pugh said: “Llandrindod are a decent side and battled for everything.

“We looked to give a few lads a go and experiment with our line-up and I was pleased with the display.

“In the end it was a very worthwhile exercise for both clubs.”
