ANDREW Watkins rolled back the years with an accomplished display helping Guilsfield to an unlikely victory at Caernarfon Town.

The veteran kept the coolest head on the pitch to steer home a 59th minute retaken penalty, after goalkeeper Mike Price came off his line.

Ross Frame had put the villagers ahead from the penalty spot after 10 minutes, but Caernarfon hit back to level through a John Rowley tap in with the striker proceeding to add his second on the stroke of half-time.

Gareth Jones and Matthew Newton went close for the Guils before Frame was clipped in the area, with Watkins converting from the spot.

Just five minutes later Guilsfield were deservedly ahead with Newton blasting home from 30 yards.

GUILSFIELD: Littleford, Watkins, Gamble, L Davies, Henderson, Astley, G Jones, R Evans, Cookson, Newton, Frame. Subs: Williams, McGill, Parr
