NEWTOWN Football Club have completed the signing of midfielder Robbie Evans.
The 28 year old former Wrexham midfielder made his debut for his hometown club in 2012 and later went on to become the youngest captain in their history when he lead the team out in a 2-1 victory over Gresley in 2013.
Evans made a total of 156 appearances for Wrexham and picked up their young player of the year award in two consecutive seasons between 2014-2016.

Evans left Wrexham in 2017 with spells at National League North sides Telford United, Curzon Ashton and Alfreton Town.
“I’m delighted to add Robbie to our squad for next season," said Newtown manager Chris Hughes. "I’ve spoken to lot’s of people about him and while they all say what a good player he is, they all talk about his character first and foremost.
"Robbie’s a leader and will be a great addition to the dressing room.”
Meanwhile it has been confirmed goalkeeper Dave Jones has joined JD Cymru Premier strugglers Aberystwyth Town who escaped the drop on the last day last season while midfielder Nick Rushton has signed for top flight newcomers Colwyn Bay,
