HARRY Davies struck twice as Four Crosses prevailed 3-1 winners at home to Machynlleth in division two of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League.

Joe Clarke completed the scoring with his first goal for Crosses while Paul Jones kept Machynlleth in contention.

Newbridge maintained their push for honours with Ollie Woods leading the way with a double in a 3-1 win at Aberystwyth University while Charlie Boucher completed the scoring with George Taylor reducing the arrears for the Students.

Elsewhere Hay St Marys hit back to claim the spoils in a 2-1 win at Waterloo Rovers.

Andrew Gwilt had given Rovers the lead before Greg Preece’s cross was deflected into the home net to restore parity and Ryan Biggs completed the Saints fightback on the hour.

Curtis Williams netted twice as Presteigne battled to a 3-2 win over Abermule with Marcus Pearce completing the tally while Mule replied through Nick Mumby and Tommy Jones.

Meanwhile honours ended even at Clos Tanymur with goals from Tom Evans and Jack Williams earning Montgomery Town in a 2-2 draw with a visiting Rhayader Town who replied through Jamie Evans and Taylor Wozencraft.

Elsewhere Builth Wells ran riot in an 8-0 romp at home to Tywyn Bryncrug in division one.

Sam Williams led the rout with a hat-trick while Josh Price added a brace with further goals from Chris Roff, Tom Bethell and Wil Cleaton completing the drubbing.

Meanwhile Carno overcame Kerry 3-1 at Ty Brith courtesy of strikes from Callum Page, Andy Evans and Richie Evans with Max McLaughlin netting a consolation for the Lambs.

Aberaeron also celebrated a 3-1 win at home to Churchstoke with Ifan Burrell, Elwyn Edwards and Gareth Severs goals cancelling a reply from Jason Mynett.
