Meanwhile Forden United proved too strong for Llanfair United Reserves with a Ross Harris double and goals from Tom Francis, Brad Carr, Dave Roberts and Mike Henderson-Smith completing a 6-0 win at Mount Field.

Martyn Ziemann struck twice as Bishops Castle Town prevailed 4-0 winners at Llanfyllin Town with George Mellor and Mark Griffiths also on target.

Elsewhere Tyler McCarthy and Conrad Galloway netted as Maesyrhandir celebrated their first win of the campaign with a 2-1 win at Meifod who replied through Phil Hughes.

Meanwhile Llanrhaeadr Reserves completed an upset with a 3-2 win at first division Llangedwyn in the second round of the Boys and Boden Montgomeryshire League Cup.
