GUILSFIELD host North East Wales League minnows Rhostyllen on Saturday with manager Nathan Leonard wary of a cup upset.

Leonard insisted his side would not be taking the visitors lightly and insisted a lucrative cup run was a chance for the players to give back to the club’s hard working committee.

“It’s been an inconsistent season but we showed positive signs against Denbigh that we are hitting some good form,” said Leonard.

“It’s important we don’t underestimate Rhostyllen. They will have no pressure on them go out and enjoy the game.

“If we are complacent they will have an opportunity of a completing an upset but we will make sure that doesn’t happen.

“A cup run is vital for the club financially and chance for the players to give back to the committee who do a tremendous job behind the scenes.

“We owe them a good performance and a place in the next round on Saturday.”

Meanwhile Llanrhaeadr entertain Huws Gray Alliance rivals Flint Town United with the villagers playing at their own Tanllan ground for the first time this season.

Bizarrely the criteria for the Welsh Cup is different to the Huws Gray Alliance which means the villagers playing home league games in Llansantffraid this season.

Manager Marc Griffiths said: "The draw hasn't been took kind to us.

"Flint are one of the most well organised teams we have faced this season but at Llanrhaeadr we always seem to rise to the occasion in the Welsh Cup and with the team playing back in the village for the first time this season we will be looking for another big performance."
