BERRIEW Football Club hosts a girls festival on Sunday.
The festival will cater for under 10, 12, 14 and 16 age groups and take place at Berriew Football Club’s newly opened junior facilities.
The event was organised for earlier in the year only for the weather to force its cancellation.
Now organiser Paul Inns has re-arranged the festival in the hope it will see a large turn out of players across the age groups.
Despite an increase in participation the Mid Wales region continues to lag behind the rest of the country with no senior league and only one senior club.
Inns said: “Hopefully we can continue to build on the festivals with the aim of establishing a senior women’s league in Mid Wales in the future.”
The under 10, 12 and 11 events commence at 11.30am with the under 16s running from 11.30am to 1pm.
