NEWTOWN hit the goal trail with a 9-3 win at Bow Street in the first round of the Welsh Youth Cup.
Jamie Evans and Harry Watkins fired hat-tricks while Xavier Matisse, Taylor Wozencroft and Sam Hoyle were also on target to book the young Robins a place in the hat for the next round.
Shaun Jones, Gethin Ap-Dafydd and Siencyn Jones replied for the Magpies.
Elsewhere Aberystwyth Town were also in ruthless form with a 12-1 drubbing of Llanfair United.
Liam Doherty and Cullen Rodgers both completed hat-tricks for the Seasiders with Tom Evans, Iwan Lloyd, Carwyn Morgan, Brynley Morris, Steffan Gittins and Dylan Benjamin.
Meanwhile TNS were given a bye after Cefn Albion conceded while Brecon Northcote also conceded their clash with Port Talbot Town.
Spokesman Anthony Thornley said: “We only had seven youth players available so we had to concede.
“We are managing to raise a good squad for seniors at the moment though so things are slowing picking up after last month’s problems.”
Second round draw (Mid Wales clubs only): Mold Alexandra v Newtown; Airbus UK Broughton v Aberystwyth Town; Flint Town United v TNS. Ties to be held on Sunday, November 4.
