TREWERN United went top of Honda Division One of the J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League with a 5-2 win at home to Meifod.
Chris Lewis and Shaun Roberts both completed doubles with Matt Windsor also on target for the Tigers while Phil Hughes and an own goal kept the Kings in contention.
Meanwhile a Kevin Price double earned Churchstoke Reserves a hard fought 3-2 home win against Llanfyllin Town Reserves.
Tom Pope struck to ensure the Marketmen the spoils while Gruffydd Jones hit back with a brace for the Magpies.
Elsewhere Kerry Reserves edged a seven goal thriller to overcome Llanfair United Reserves 4-3 in the second round of the Boys and Boden Montgomeryshire League Cup.
Ben Evans, Jim Pryce, Tom Jones and Luke Davies struck for the Lambs while Llanfair were always in contention thanks to goals from Dan Isaac, Lennon Bryan and Brian Griffiths.
