CAERSWS went top of MMP-NL Mid Wales League One with an impressive 3-0 win at Berriew.
The Bluebirds led when a flowing passing move culminated in Mark Edmonson crossing for Phil Jones to break the deadlock.
Edmonson volleyed home the second before Elliot Jones completed the scoring from 25 yards before half-time.
Caersws assistant manager Gareth Jones said: “Berriew played some good football but failed to break us down.
“The second-half was comfortable for us and one of the most solid performances of the season.”
Elsewhere a Connor Bird double kept Llanidloes Town in the hunt with a 2-0 win at Llanfair United to set-up a potential top of the table clash at Caersws on Saturday.
