NEWTOWN put their unbeaten home record to the test with the visit of Barry Town United on Saturday.

The Robins boast a 100 per cent record at Latham Park this season and welcome the Dragons looking to stretch their winning run to four games.

League victories over Cardiff Metropolitan and Llanelli sandwiched a Nathaniel MG Cup win over Penybont United as the Robins head into the new month full of confidence.

The Robins form has also seen manager Chris Hughes nominated for the manager of the month award while attacking midfielder Neil Mitchell’s superb September has seen him shortlisted for the player of the month accolade.

Hughes said: “We need to build on the momentum we have gathered over the last few months.

“Our home form is good and we can look forward to the visit of Barry Town with a lot of confidence.”

Midfielder Jake Cook is a fitness doubt along with goalkeeper Dave Jones who came off early at Llanelli last Friday.
